One of the pioneering families of Tuscany, Rocca Delle Macie has been instrumental families in creating much of the framework for the Chianti Classico zone in Tuscany and has been the president of the esteemed Consorzio in the region— a group of pioneering locals who make the laws to uphold the wines’ quality— in two separate instances!

As a result of their stewardship, Rocca’s attention to detail, from growing grapes strictly on their own land to hand-picking the grapes, is an example of passion and love for grapes like Vernaccia.
